A Repository of Projects by Robert Tenney

So Easily
Amused

The overarching studio behind everything I make. A working shelf of projects, some finished, most in motion. Always under construction, on purpose.

The Foundation

Honor-Based

Live in fear. Fight for respect. Or stand with Honor.

Fear, Respect, and Honor are often mistaken for the same thing. They are not, and in the difference lies all the power. Only becoming Honor-based gives you bedrock to stand on, and the strength of your own volition, truly acting instead of reacting. It is a framework, and a set of books: one for the individual, one for the leader, one for the community.

The Honor-Based Foundation is the organization behind the work. It exists to create connection between Honor-based individuals, organizations, ideas, and endeavors, to inspire good and to help good things get built. The books are one expression of it; the free toolkits, the consulting, and the community it gathers are others.

"I am not to intervene in this path to accountability. I am to witness."

A novel. An omnipotent child, molded by those around her with mostly sincere intentions. Ireland and India in the years of the Famine, a valley, a mystic king, a blessing and a curse. The story is told by the caretaker, a man changed into a great hound, struggling to keep his own identity as the little girl rewrites the world around him, one wish at a time. In the end the gift is a blessing or a curse depending entirely on the girl, and on the people who shaped her.

Legacy Portraits

"Praising what is lost makes the remembrance dear." — William Shakespeare

Portraits to remind us of those we love. Hand-drawn, from photographs, of the people who made us.

Mixed-Media

Denim labels, copper, and thread. "Phoenix Riders," built by hand from a hundred reclaimed tags, stitched and riveted into something that outlasts the jeans they came from.

Furniture and forge work: things built to be used and to last. The furniture studio came first, years ago; the making never really stopped. Pieces past and present, in wood and metal. (Portfolio coming.)

About

Robert Tenney

I make things. Companies and systems by trade; sculpture, drawings, photographs, furniture, and a long-running novel by temperament. A fourth-generation Arizonan and a builder to the core, equally at home with a framework, a chisel, or a camera. As the name of this place suggests, I am fairly easily amused, which turns out to be a good engine for a lot of projects. If you are wondering what I am passionate about: it is, more or less, all of this.
